As the Operational and Development Director you are responsible to lead a team of approx. 25 people, consisting of IT-developers, product managers, experts, and engineers. You will guide the team to further develop the PSI SaaS platform and services, improve, standardize operational process, and ensure high customer satisfaction through quality and efficiency in daily operations. In this role you are part of the PSI Leadership Team, report directly to the managing director and will take a crucial role in ensuring business success and for the continuous evolution of the PSI strategy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Foster and manage the close cooperation and collaboration on director- level
    • to develop, disseminate and implement an overall vision and strategy
    • to align initiatives, drive developments, build internal structures and processes, leverage synergies
  • Responsible for the definition and implementation of development goals, performance goals and operational plans
  • Lead and build a strong team in the fields of Operations, IT-Development and Solutions-Design, foster collaboration within this team and other stakeholders
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, build lasting partnerships, alliances and the required development and distribution eco-system
  • Responsible for implementing appropriate governance and reporting as well as developing professional portfolio management and controlling

 

Specific responsibilities PSI development:

  • End2End responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of IT projects in line with organizational objectives
  • Establishment of the necessary implementation capacities, sourcing to external technology partners, if necessary
  • Lead and inspire IT department employees and ensure all technology systems and applications support the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Ensure cutting edge development frameworks and technologies, propose strategic solutions and new systems or software

 

Specific responsibilities PSI Operations:

  • Orchestrate and initiate the design, development and operation of new and existing business operations
  • Establish a holistic monitoring and improvement strategy, constantly analyze current processes and systems regarding performance and suitability and derive concrete measures
  • Manage and support our engineering and development partners, internal and external: requirement engineering. Lead negotiations, recommend on purchasing and drive monitoring and transparency
  • Set and define clear and understandable policies as north star to promote company culture and vision for sustainable growth and impact on the market

Your Qualifications

  • MSc in a related technical field (engineering, computer science, business informatics or comparable); MBA/PhD is a plus
  • Passionate personality and motivational leader with more than 10 years of IT Development and Operations leadership experience, knows how to build and empower performing teams, actively develops talent, leads with purpose and by objectives
  • Strong customer focus, strategist with excellent business acumen, hands-on leader, turn ideas into reality, demonstrate growth-mindset with experience in setting up new business endeavors and managing relevant P&L
  • Confident communicator with very good verbal and written communication skills, “bridge builder” able to operate and leverage matrix organizations, take pride in managing change and help to structurally overcome gaps, excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to persistently pursue one’s goals, willing to grow with the challenge, not discouraged by headwinds or setbacks, aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • A deep understanding of technology and process excellence, know how to combine customer insights, technology trends and business model approaches to build winning offerings and product roadmaps for our customers

Minimum gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 58.531,90
