We are searching for an experienced, proactive and target-oriented Strategic Product Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall success of the PSI product/solution
    • Responsible for the definition, dissemination, and implementation of the overall product vision, strategy and principles of PALFINGER STRUCTURAL INSPECTION
    • Responsible for the development of scalable, profitable and long-term sustainable business models from a niche player to a global technology solution provider
    • Maintain together with marketing Competitive and Market Analysis abreast, constantly monitor market developments/trends in the infrastructure industry and competitive environment
    • Responsible for implementing appropriate governance and reporting as well as for the development of professional portfolio management and controlling
  • Responsible for the PSI product and feature portfolio
    • End2End responsible for product and requirement management for the whole product lifecycle
    • Manage/own a robust roadmap, communicate tailored to various internal and external stakeholder needs
    • Translate market requirements into solutions and product features to enable best product/market fit
    • Orchestrate, initiate and manage the solution development and operation, execute gate reviews with related teams
    • Generate a consolidated overview of the product performance and its key performance indicators,including customer satisfaction, revenue, cost savings, margin, market-share, in close cooperation with Marketing, Sales and Finance, and drive continuous improvements based on learnings.
    • Support establishment of the necessary implementation capacities, sourcing to external technology partners, if necessary
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders
    • Build lasting partnerships, alliances and required development and distribution eco-system
    • Support our solution selling approach with customer-facing pre-sales support, solution design and consulting, as well as trainings and knowledge provisioning
    • Coordinate your strategic activities with PSI Directors and the Expert Advisory Board
  • Strong focus on sustainable growth and impact on the market
    • Develop a pricing strategy and optimize market pricing for our platform services and solutions
    • Ensure a favorable gross margin of the entire product/solution portfolio
    • Identify solution partners and 3rd party service providers to supplement and constantly enhance the solution services offering
    • Build on existing and create new Sales channels and Go-to-Market strategies together with Sales and Marketing. Identify areas of growth and contribute to define the G2M strategy for existing and new target market

Your Qualifications

  • BSc in a technical field (engineering, computer science, SW-development, business informatics or comparable); MSc/MBA is a plus
  • Proven experience of minimum 5 years in digital product and project management, requirement engineering, development of sales and building winning G2M strategies
  • Strong customer focus, strategist with excellent business acumen, hands-on, turn ideas into reality, demonstrate growth-mindset, start-up /corporate experience a plus
  • Experience in creation, development, and market launch of digital products, scaling business models (SaaS, PaaS)
  • Confident communicator with very good verbal and written communication skills, “bridge builder”, able to leverage capabilities available with excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to persistently pursue one’s goals, willing to grow with the challenge, not discouraged by headwinds or setbacks
  • Know how to turn voices of customers into actionable insights and impactful solutions and products, passionate personality with a winning mindset

Minimum gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 45.845,38

We are willing to overpay according to training and qualification.
